Amal is a strategic board advisor and People and Innovation Transformation Leader. She brings over 25+ years of experience to board-level roles in multiple sectors and has built extensive experience in Aviation and Hospitality Management, Talent, Learning, and Customer Experience.
As a change leader, Amal transformed the regional organisations into a "future-fit" model, leading comprehensive change management, culture transformation projects, and employee rebranding activities, including post-acquisitions.
Amal also led high-impact projects introducing new services, products, and experiences, impacting thousands of employees and customers around the world. She created award-winning global learning events and was part of AXA Group learning leadership team. She designed and led the "Wearing the Emirates Uniform" project, establishing a new brand image and standards across the entire Emirates network, and developed processes, service standards, and enhanced products for the airline's flagship A380 aircraft.
Amal led various capability acceleration programmes across the Gulf region - in collaboration with governmental entities to develop local talent in multiple sectors such as Finance, Entertainment, Technology, and Fintech, including accelerating women's development in the STEM field. She partnered with FinTech Hive, mentoring startups to increase their value proposition for improving products and offerings. Amal continues this journey by mentoring and coaching Entrepreneurs in the UK and Europe. She is a certified business Coach and a member of the Entrepreneurs Circle of 1000+ SMEs.
As an innovation leader and business partner, Amal built strong relations with business units in global and regional organisations. She delivered multi-million-dollar cost savings by creating internal design thinking capabilities and initiatives that enhanced and innovated current services and products. She embedded Design Thinking Methodology across core business units, fostering strong design communities. Some of her award-winning innovation projects are solution designs for future mobility insurance, creating the workplace of the future, and social innovations such as the inclusion of people with determination and caring for senior citizens in Asia projects.
Amal's expertise extends to Culture, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Employee Engagement, where she continues to collaborate with board-level leaders, launching turnkey DEI Strategies and enhancing of employee communications through innovative people and culture practices. Some of her key initiatives include creating employee assistance and wellbeing programmes, accelerating women's development, and integrating people with different abilities into the workplace.
Amal's academic journey started with Bachelor's in Tourism and Hotels management, a journey continued over 30 years achieving many certifications in management/leadership and specialised qualifications in Innovation and Design Thinking from Stanford, MIT, Insead, and Columbia School of Business. She has won several awards during her career for exceptional customer experience, impactful DEI initiatives, global learning, and innovation projects' design and implementation.
Building on her diverse expertise, Amal founded The Innovation Boutique committed to bringing innovation into people practices and facilitating collaborative and creative environments for better engagement and growth in the workplace.
